Keon Mossiah makes Belizean sports history by winning first-ever IMMAF Gold Medal for Belize!
In a moment that will forever be etched into the record books of Belizean combat sports, 17-year-old Keon Mossiah has captured the Gold Medal at the 2026 IMMAF Pan American Championships—becoming the first athlete from Belize to stand atop the IMMAF podium in international mixed martial arts history.
Competing in the Youth A Flyweight (125 lbs) division in Monterrey, Mexico, Keon put on a masterclass of skill, grit, and heart, proving to the entire region that Belizean fighters belong among the world’s best.
From Santa Elena to the World Stage
Known to his teammates as “Chill Guy” for his calm and relaxed demeanor off the mats, Keon’s journey to gold is built on tireless dedication and hard work. Training out of Don’t Blink Jiu Jitsu in Santa Elena, Cayo, Keon has consistently turned heads across the national martial arts community:
- Belize BJJ Championship Gold Medalist
- Holder of the fastest knockout in ProFC history (a lightning-fast 20-second KO in his debut fight)
- National Flyweight Standout combining sharp striking with dominant ground fundamentals
Entering the IMMAF Pan American Championships, Keon faced top-tier international competition. But through every round, his technical sharp-shooting, composure, and solid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu foundation carried him all the way to the final hand-raise.
Raising the Flag
Seeing the Belizean flag lifted high at the medal ceremony was more than just an individual victory—it represents a landmark leap forward for the Belize Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) and the local combat sports community as a whole.
